Číslo projektu:2014-1-SK01-KA101-000043
Popis projektu:na stránke Európskej komisie

Sumár projektu:Our school provides secondary education in business and services. Our region faces high rate of unemployment among the youth and adults. We also have to respond to changes in global labour market. Many spheres of our society have been affected by socio-economic crisis. These are the main reasons why we need to make changes in organization of teaching and learning, develop new competences and adopt more effective teaching methods or tools. Our aim is to enable disadvantaged students with low skills to develop language competences and be more successful on the labour market. We plan to take part in CLIL course in London in autumn 2014. We expect that this course will help us to work more effectively with CLIL method. Furthermore it will definitely improve our language skills. This mobility will give us solid ground for development and improvement of our language competencies, teaching methods and the organization of teaching. Our school has selected three teachers to participate in this project. We have already experience with CLIL method. We are enthusiastic about improving their teaching methods, language skills and competencies. We have already worked together on previous Leonardo da Vinci and eTwinning projects. We are a good team of teachers willing to work hard in order to achieve good results in teaching and motivating students especially those with low skills or those who are likely to leave school prematurely. We are aware of necessity to develop and improve our teaching skills in all areas of our work. Participants will attend CLIL course provided by ADC College in London. After the course they will implement new skills and language competencies in their work. They will prepare new teaching materials for subjects such as Economics, Banking and English. All materials will be prepared in accordance with CLIL method. After each unit, at least once a month they will hand-out worksheet and questionnaires to find out the level of improvement. They will create teaching packs including presentations, worksheets, interactive material and feedback questionnaires for students. They will be open packs, regularly updated and evaluated. The expected impact on the participants involves improving competences linked to the teaching profession, triggering modernization and international opening of schools, providing better quality of work and activities in favour of students, addressing the needs of the disadvantaged students and students with low skills, developing foreign language competences, increasing motivation and satisfaction with daily work. The participants will prepare feedback questionnaires for students where they can express their opinions on the quality of the education, whether they achieved progress and worksheets where they can test themselves. Feedback questionnaires and worksheets will be evaluated regularly after each unit, at least once a month. The results will serve as a feedback for teachers´ work. The participants will also prepare questionnaires for companies and institution providing training and employment for the students. The questionnaires´ results will provide teachers necessary information about needs of companies and employers. The participants will be able to respond flexibly to their needs and provide students required skills and knowledge. They will particularly focus on progress of disadvantaged students.
