Sumár projektu:"TO TEACH IS TO LEARN - USING LITERATURE IN A CREATIVE EDUCATION AS A MULTIDIRECTIONAL PATH TO SKILLS DEVELOPMENT" IS A KA2 ERASMUS+ PROJECT OF THE THREE PARTICIPANTING EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS FROM SLOVAKIA, GREECE AND SWEDEN. EACH MEMBER OF THE PARTNERSHIP HAS TAKEN PART IN SEVERAL EUROPEAN PROJECTS ALREADY, YET NONE OF THEM EVER PARTICIPATED IN THE PROJECT WHERE 'TO TEACH' AND 'TO LEARN' WOULD BE BOTH SO COMPLEMENTARY AND INTERCHANGABLE. THE PROJECT ZEROES IN ON THE ROLE OF EDUCATOR - THE ONE WHO MAKES A DIFFERENCE, FOSTERING JOB SATISFACTION OF TEACHERS, MOTIVATION OF EXPERIENCED TEACHERS, PREAGRADUATE TEACHERS, AS WELL AS RECENTLY HIRED TEACHERS AND FOSTERING LEARNERS' ACADEMIC SATISFATION USING NATIONAL AND WORLD LITERATURES TO ACHIEVE EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES MAINLY FOCUSED ON CREATIVE WAYS OF TEACHING (AND LEARNING) MATHS AND SCIENCE. THIS PROJECT ALSO PROMOTES ENTREPRENEURSHIP BY MEANS OF ORGANIZING CULTURAL PUBLIC EVENTS THAT TAKE PLACE IN EACH OF THE PARTICIPATING COUNTRIES. IT USES MARKETING AND EVENT AGENCIES' TYPICAL PRACTICE, INCLUDING JUSTIFYING EXPENSES, CANVAS AND BUSINESS PLANS. THE PROJECT RESULTS IN EXCHANGING METHODOLOGIES, GOOD PRACTICES AND THE TANGIBLE DELIVERABLES LIKE SHORT FILMS, SHORT STORIES, DRAMA SCRIPTS, SONGS, FINAL GUIDE, ETC. OVERALL NUMBER OF THE PARTICIPANTS REACHES 100 (84 SHORT-TERM EXCHANGES OF GROUPS OF PUPILS, 10 SHORT-TERM JOINT STAFF TRAINING EVENTS, 6 ACCOMPANYING PERSONS). OVERALL NUMBER OF THE TRANSNATIONAL MEETINGS IS 4, THE FIRST AND THE LAST ONE TAKING PLACE IN SLOVAKIA, THE MAIN COORDINATOR'S COUNTRY, THE SECOND AND THE THIRD ONE IN GREECE AND SWEDEN. SHORT-TERM JOINT STAFF TRAINING EVENTS INCLUDE THE TOPICS THAT DIRECTLY DEAL WITH THE OBJECTIVES THAT NEED TO BE COVERED IN ORDER TO SUCCESSFULLY CARRY OUT THE PROJECT, LIKE ENTREPRENEURSHIP, DRAMA, ICT TOOLS, AS WELL AS THE TOPICS THAT WILL BE USEFUL IN TEACHERS' FUTURE CAREERS (SOCIAL INCLUSION, EARLY DROP-OUT, ETC.). THE EXPECTED RESULTS ARE INCREASED INTERCULTURAL AWARENESS, DICOVERING THE OWN WAYS TO LEARN, ACQUIRING NEW COMPETENCES INCLUDING BASIC AND TRANSVERSAL SKILLS, ACADEMIC SATISFACION, FOSTERING ATTITUDE TOWARDS CREATIVITY, INCREASED AWARENESS OF THE NATIONAL AND WORLD LITERATURES, SHIFT OF A PARADIGM TOWARDS TEACHING AND EDUCATION BY ACTUALLY BEING DIRECTLY INVOLVED IN A TEACHING PROCESS, E.G. PEER TEACHING, INVOLVEMENT ON TEACHING METHODOLOGY WORKSHOPS AND DESIGNING ACTIVITIES FOR OTHER STUDENTS TOGETHER WITH PREGRADUATE STUDENTS AND TEACHERS OF VARIOUS TEACHING SENIORITY. WE EXPECT THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE STANDARDIZED FULLY FUNCIONAL SYSTEM THAT WILL EMPLOY GROUPS SPECIFIED BY THE PROJECT OBJECTIVES - EXPERIENCED TEACHERS, THE MOST RECENTLY HIRED TEACHERS, SCHOOL TUTORS, SCHOOL MANAGEMENT, PREGRADUATE TEACHERS OR VOLUNTEERS, SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST AND STUDENTS THAT WOULD CONTINUE TO COOPERATE ON DIVERSE OBJECTIVES. THEY DO NOT NECESSARILY HAVE TO COOPERATE AT THE SAME LEVEL AND SIMULTANEOUSLY, HOWEVER EXPECT FROM THE PROJECT STRIKING OUTLINES TO FOLLOW WITHIN A SYSTEM THAT WOULD INCORPORATE EVERY AFOREMENTIONED ROLE INTO A UNIT. TO MAINTAING THESE MULTIDIRECTIONAL RESULTS AND PATHS TO SKILLS DEVELOPMENT WE WILL CONTINUE DOING THOSE ACITIVITIES THAT CAN BE DONE WITH MINIMUM COSTS, REGULARLY, USING RESOURCES WE NORMALLY HAVE, WITH THE CAPACTITIES THAT WE HAVE. IT MEANS, WE WILL KEEP USING INNOVATIVE METHODOLOGIES ACQUIRED IN THE PROJECT, IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE SUSTAINABILITY.
